"Recover Apple Watch" on an iPhone, and have never owned an Apple Watch.

So, I am on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, and in the latest version of iOS (15.5). Just starting tonight, every time I unlock my iPhone, I get a pop up on my phone saying "Recover Apple Watch. There is a problem with this Apple Watch that requires it to be updated and restored". I'll attach a picture of this. I have never owned an Apple Watch, nobody in my family owns one, I have never had one paired to this iPhone. I opened the Watch app and there are none listed there, it just tells me to Start Pairing if I have an Apple Watch. I have restarted my phone and this issue is persisting. This iPhone was also bought brand new by me, no previous owners.

Any help to stop this pop-up happening would be appreciated, thanks.

Hey Caddince,

What an odd alert to receive with not owning an Apple Watch. Try to delete the Watch app to see if that resolves this issue. If your iPhone does believe there is an Apple Watch paired, it will prompt you to unpair it before deleting the app. Just in case, here's how to delete that app: Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home Screen on your iOS 14 or later or iPadOS device or Apple Watch - Apple Support
