Watch face

Hello. I have Apple Watch series 5. Is there any way to prevent apps im using(music for example), from showing up on the watch, and covering time. I’d like to be able to access apps when they’re on the watch but not at the expense of the clock—/after all. First it’s a watch. It also happens when I use my iPhone to dictate.
