Can I format my drive and install a new operating system and then backup from time machine all my data and not put the old OS on?

I want to erase the hard drive put a new operating system on and then recover from time machine all data except for the operating system?

Hi,


Yes, after the install, it will ask you if you want to restore and where from. Connect your TM drive, select it, and select what you want to restore.
