Non-apple battery installed. Now Face ID is not working. What now?

Contact whoever replaced the battery.

Replacing a battery should not break Face ID unless the technician who replaced the battery broke something in the process. But once Face ID stops working it cannot be fixed. And, as a repair was done outside of Apple’s service organization Apple won’t fix it.
