Hi all,
I was editing a video, and went to add an effect, when half the footage dropped down, and the music track below that, and these 2 lines with little + boxes appeared. I have no idea what I did, and can't seem to get rid of it, can anyone help get me back to standard view please? I had to click each box to get the footage to pop back up, but still the lines and boxes are there.

I quit FCP earlier, reopened to try this, and it was back to normal!
I tried the E thing, but it didn’t do anything?

I think that's only the upper part of the timeline. It looks like you've entered the precision editor. ⌃ E. You can close it with that or the Esc key.
Select a clip and press ⌃ E. Control-E.
Timeline changed, and not sure how I did it?
