On Windows 10 Im trying to get rid of duplicate music

On my windows 10 computer, I am having a problem with many duplicate songs. I am trying to find a third-party software that will be effective to get rid of my duplicates. My library is so huge I can't select one by one to get rid of them. Is there third-party software that will do this?

Windows, Windows 10

Try clicking File > Display Duplicates. This should bring up a list of duplicate songs- but sometimes they're not exact. If you hold Shift before clicking it, you should see that it says Show Exact Duplicates, which is more precise.

If that won't work, for whatever reason, Apple Support Communities user turingtest2 has written a script called DeDuper that will do that exact function. You can find his instructions and the download here.

I am using a Windows PC, Windows 10. I have over 7000 songs, so many duplicates. it's overwhelming. I just want to get rid of these so I can sync my library without duplicates. Is it the same steps that you showed using an Apple computer? In case this doesn't work are there any reliable third-party software programs that I can get?

Thank you

Greg
