Loss of Downloaded CDs

I downloaded a number of CDs to Itunes. We had a power outage and when I went to Itunes to play them, a number of the albums had disappeared. Not all of them but most of them. I discarded the CDs after downloading them so can't redo it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Am I just SOL??

Mpreult,

Since you mention "discarded the CDs," I assume you are referring to CDs that you ripped, not purchases that you downloaded. A simple power outage would not normally delete any files. First thing to do is to search your hard drive for the song files. If you find them, re-add them to your iTunes/Music library.
