What type of leather does Apple use on their new leather iPhone mag safe cases (12 and up)?

So, I have purchased apple leather products in the past such as the MacBook air leather sleeve (at a discount obviously lol) and the leather link watch band for my series 3 apple watch. One thing I have noticed about the older apple leather products was that the leather felt pretty nice, it felt like sanded down leather with a fake grain applied but still nice and durable. However, recently I got the iPhone 13 pro mag safe leather case and while it still does feel pretty nice, I have noticed how the leather has a different less smooth texture and it bruises easily when dropped. Also another thing I noticed was how my older apple leather products had a leather symbol on the inside of them and had the words "Natural Leather" underneath them but the new case that I have does not have this symbol on the inside anywhere. Now I tried to look up what type of leather it was made from (tannery, full grain, top grain, etc) but could not find anything. Also apple's own website seemed to not want to tell me anything since all it said was: "high-quality, supple leather" which does not mean crap lol. So if someone could shed light on what apple is not trying to tell us about this new leather that would be great thanks.
