Old Apple ID used for application updates

I recently got a new iPhone and transferred my apps to it from a work iPhone. I also transferred my personal phone line (I had it on the e-SIM and the work line on a physical SIM). I had an Apple ID associated with that work phone (and email address) but used my personal Apple ID to set up the new phone.

It seems that all of the apps that I had installed are associated with my old Apple ID since any time I try to update them I get a two-factor authentication prompt that goes to my old work phone - which I no longer have access to. I have the login info for my old Apple ID, but on the Apple ID website I also get the two-factor authentication sent to my old number - so I have no way to log in to add a different trusted number. I started the account recovery process, but all of that info is being sent to my old work email account which I also no longer have access to. Is my only option to delete and reinstall all of my apps?

iPhone 11, iOS 15

Yes, purchased content is permanently tied to the AppleID used at the time of purchase. You would have to delete those apps and redownload them under the new AppleID to get them associated with it. And if they are for fee apps, you’ll need to purchase them again.

You can also only change the AppleID associated with the App Store once every 90 days.
