Make a Change:

I'm not so certain you have an extension. Go to: Safari > Preferences > Search > make the change there.

Change the Home Page:

Seems what you need to do is change the homepage. Go Here: Change your Homepage in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

Go into Finder and Applications, delete the apps you don't want. Sometimes these apps create extension in Safari, but you don't see them in Safari preferences.
