Last know location vs no location found

Hi, so my friend was sharing their location with me, and suddenly it said **No location found**, does that mean they stopped sharing their location with me ? And if they was still sharing their location but their phone was turned off or maybe having connection issue, wouldn't it be Last know location ?

Technically, what is the difference between Last Know location and No location found ?

iPhone 7, iOS 15

The service is not perfect. Getting a no location found does not immediately suggest that the location sharing is turned off. As you mentioned, it could be that the phone is off or having connection issues. The feature doesn't show last know location. If this is persistent, ask your friend to reset the location sharing. Hope this helps.
