IPAD Cellular Service vice Just WIFI

if you have an iPad with only Wi-Fi support it is not possible to upgrade it to a Cellular model. Although, a Cellular model can also be used with just Wi-Fi.

The easiest way to see if you already have a Cellular model is to look for a SIM-card tray on the side of the iPad, it's also possible to look in the Settings-app to see if you have any options for mobile data or similar.

It is not possible to change or modify the internal hardware components of an iPad.  Cellular capability cannot be retrofitted to a WiFi Only model of iPad.

Whilst a WiFi Only iPad cannot be transformed into a WiFi+Cellular model, you can use the hotspot feature of a mobile phone - or a Cellular Broadband Router (often known as a MiFi Router) - to access Cellular networks.

As such, you can access Cellular data networks with addition of another device, such as iPhone, which you may already have. A Broadband Router is also a cost-effective way of obtaining the flexibility of Cellular network connections without having to replace the iPad with a WiFi+Cellular model.
