Mismatch storefront?

I’ve got a giftcard, I attempted to redeem it and it doesn't go through and just prompts me with: Mismatch Storefront, which doesnt make sense because the giftcard is a Portuguese gift card and my region on this iPhone is already set to Portugal, keeping in mind that I literally live here.


(No I’m not connected to a VPN, no my router isn’t connected to a VPN.)

This happens when you have an AppleID on your App Store that is different. You can have your iPhone region set to X country, but use an AppleID associated with Y region. Note that you can have an AppleID on your phone and a different AppleID on App Store and Music store -- it works but is just too much hassle.
