External links in an HTML document are references outside the current path, necessitating a full path specification, or a host and path.
What linkage are you trying to establish here, and with which app? From Safari? Some other app?
This could also be an issue blocked by the pop-up blocker, or might be an external firewall filtering traffic, depending on exactly what is happening here—and what that id, which I’m not entirely certain. Could you explain a little more about what you are encountering and what goal you are trying to reach, provide the text of any error messages, and indicate which apps?
