HomePod Mini Settings Missing for Siri, Intercom and Accessibility

I have a total of 4 HomePod Mini speakers configured in 2 stereo pairs, one pair in Family Room and the other pair in Home Office in the Home app.  I don't know if it is related, but I started seeing issues and odd/missing info in various settings screens after I defined the Family Room HomePod mini stereo pair as the default audio output for my Family Room Apple TV 4K.  I haven't found any documentation indicating that behavior with Siri and the HomePods changes if you set the stereo pair up as audio for an Apple TV.

Sometimes if I ask the HomePod mini pair in the Home Office to play music everywhere, Siri will respond with a message indicating she can't do it.  Other times regardless of which pair I tell to play music everywhere, the volume of music being played on the Home Office Home stereo pair will be significantly lower than the volume that Siri responds with on that pair.

l also don't see any Siri, Intercom or Accessibility sections in the HomePod mini settings for the Family Room stereo pair in the Home app, but I do for the Home

Office pair.  Additionally, if in the Home App I go to Home Settings->People->My Name->Siri, I have "Recognize My Voice" enabled and under "Personal Requests" the Home Office HomePod is enabled, but sometimes the Family Room HomePod is disabled and if I try to toggle it on it won't do so.  There is also a message immediately below the setting for the Family Room HomePod that says "Voice Recognition Not Available". If I give commands to the Family Room HomePod pair Siri does respond sometimes, and if I touch one in the pair and say "Turn Hey Siri on", Siri responds that it is already enabled.

At one point I think I read somewhere that this could be caused by a language mismatch, but I haven't found that anywhere.  Since the "Siri" section is missing

from the HomePod mini settings for the Family Room stereo pair in the Home App, I can't see what language is defined or defaulted to there.  However, Siri responds

in US English to English commands.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ted

Hi Ted,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that Siri isn't responding and you're unable to enable personal requests on your HomePod minis throughout the house.

To start, this resource will show you how to troubleshoot your HomePods to help you to isolate this behavior further: If HomePod mini or HomePod isn't responding - Apple Support

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
