Pairing my Apple Watch series 3 to iPhone 13

I am currently trying to pair my Apple Watch series 3 with my iPhone 13 pro max. When I went through the pairing process the first time, the watch app told me I had to update my iPhone in order to connect to my watch. I updated my phone and then tried to continue the process. The watch app is still telling me that I need to update my iPhone, and when I tap the link it gives me to my settings app, my settings app tells me that my phone is updated to its fullest potential. I’ll attach pictures so you can see what I’m talking about. Any tips or tricks are appreciated.

FWIW a lot of people have had trouble updating a series 3 watch. With the limited memory in a series 3 watch, your best option may be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar in an Apple Store near you and let them look at it:
