So i’m in the same icloud as my brother and he makes tons of photos i don’t want/need.

I don’t want to have his photos stored in my phone.

I already turned off Icloud photos but i still have all his photos that he made in my photos app. How can I remove his photos from only my phone and keep my own photos made by my device

iPhone 8, iOS 15

Hello,

I'm not exactly sure if you're both using the same Apple ID or if you're using a shared album. Therefore, two suggestion.

  1. If you are both logged in with the same Apple ID then this problem will persist. My suggestion is to use your own Apple ID. You will then have your own iCloud and you will not see your brother's photos. Manage and use your Apple ID - Apple Support
  2. If you have a shared album that you want to get rid of then you can follow the steps in this article: How to share albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac - Apple Support

One last thing: Sometimes apps have an option to automatically add photos you receive to your photo roll like WhatsApp for example. You can turn this off in the app of WhatsApp.

If your question is different please let us know. Then we'll try to help you as best we can.
