I just purchased an engagement ring with the Apple Card.

Do I have to pay off the entire balance immediately? It says make payments by July 31. My current balance is 3,000. Do I have to pay off the entire balance by July 31? It's hard for me to understand if they will start charging interest after July 31. If I move the slider around it shows what the interest charge will be on July 31.

Just like any credit card you’ll have to pay according the the terms of your agreement.

Your AppleCard bill for June transactions is due at the end of July.

You MUST make at least the minimum payment by the due date.

You’ll accrue interest on any balance due amount not paid-off by the due date.

How interest is calculated and accrues is thoroughly explained in the cardholder agreement here:

Your minimum payment is clearly stated in your Monthly Statement which is available online at card.apple.com and in your Wallet app and shown when you press the Pay Early button you see when you tap your virtual Apple Card in the Wallet app on your iPhone.

The exact method used is in the Apple Card Customer Agreement that you agreed to when you applied for the Apple Card account.
