My phone's important data is gone.

This is terrible. Today, I just suddenly: Lost ALL the contacts in the phone app, all the apps have reset all of their permissions (microphone, photos, etc.) and wont make a request to turn them back, saying to change them in settings of the app in the settings app, which doesnt have the option to

This all happened suddenly, and i was also mostly inactive on my phone this day. Please help me figure out what it could have been and possibly how to fix it.

Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other

If Contacts were on iCloud, try this --> Restore contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and more using ...

Else Add the email account that stores your contacts in the IOS mail app and enable Contacts. If you have a corporate email account added through a profile on your device, please check with your organisation's system administrator.

Thank you so much, it worked. However, one thing still goes unanswered, Why did all of my app settings like access to microphone and settings reset, and they dont make a request to turn it back on with "accept" or "deny", they tell me to change it in the settings, when i press, it opens the app's settings in the settings app, which doesnt have an option to allow anything that the app has been asking for. Do you know what it could be, or how to make the app do an actual request?
