Applying Apple Account Balance to Good Notes 5

Hi, I'm interested in purchasing the Full Version Unlock of Good Notes 5 for my iPad. I have a $65 gift card and I've redeemed it in my Apple Account balance. I want to use this gift card to pay for the $7.99 Full Version Unlock in-app purchase, but don't see an option for that (it goes straight to Touch ID pay, which is linked to my credit card, not the Apple Account gift card). How do I use my gift card balance to pay for this?

I've read some documentation online and none of them were that helpful for me. Thank you!

Resolved. Here's the answer if anyone's curious:

When you buy items or pay for subscriptions, Apple attempts to charge your payment methods in this order:

1] Apple attempts to use your Apple ID balance to cover the full amount

2] If you don't have Apple ID balance or you don't have enough to cover the full amount, Apple attempts to charge your primary payment method. The primary payment method is at the top of the list in Settings on your iPhone. You can Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods - Apple Support

3] If there's a problem with the primary payment method, or if the primary payment method can't be charged for the full remaining amount, Apple attempts to charge your other payment methods in order from top to bottom. If none of them can be charged, Apple might try again
