This can get a little complicated because various things need to match exactly and I mean exactly. Why?


“To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.”

What needs to match exactly?


1) Name

2) Address


Where does it need to match?


1) Apple ID

2) Apple Card MasterCard application

3) State issued Drivers License or State ID (can’t be expired

4) TransUnion credit report

Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID - Apple Support


Fill out Apple Card application carefully, double-check information entered.


Review all the information on Drives License, including name, age/DOB, address. If expired must be updated and renewed.


Get a free copy of TransUnion credit report and review personal information including name, DOB/age, current address. If inaccurate dispute with TransUnion.
