Can’t connect messages on my ipad. Keeps asking me to sign in for !Imessage
How do i get past the message box asking me to sign in for !Imessage on my ipad. I haven’t used it in a long time and i’m trying to clean it up

This includes things like checking to ensure you have a strong internet connection active on the iPad, ensuring the date and time are set accurately, turning off iMessage+FaceTime and then restarting and re-enabling them.
Be sure to also check for any available iPadOS updates at Settings > General > Software Update: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
