Security Notification about Watch on Mac

I'm working on my Mac and just got a popup saying "Your Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iMessage on a new Apple Watch. If you recently signed into "D's Apple Watch" you can ignore this notification."

I didn't sign into my watch since last night (and I've had the same series 4 watch since 2018) and the popup doesn't say what to do if I did NOT recently sign into D's Apple Watch. How can I find out whether someone has stolen my number, or whatever other problem this might be?

iMac 24″, macOS 12.4
