Series 3 and solo band

I own a series 3 38mm and just ordered a 41mm solo band. Initially, I understood that they would be compatible, however now I am second guessing it.

Are they compatible?

Apple Watch Series 3, watchOS 8

The band is compatible with your AppleWatch. Can you please explain further what makes you second guess it?

Knowing from own experience, new bands can sometimes be a bit too tight to fit.
