So I just got a HomePod mini and finally get a computer to use iTunes properly to find it a password reset to the airplane that I never set up so now I’m locked out n can’t even play my mini
In the Home App on your iOS device or Mac, tap the little home icon > Home Settings > Allow Speaker & TV Access> change it it to “everyone” and see if that works

You can’t really get locked out of the HomePod so it’s not clear exactly what issues you are describing
