Unless you paid for upgraded iCloud storage, then you are limited to just 5GB of data storage for your backups. Somewhere in the Settings app regarding backups or iCloud you will find out how much data you have backed up to iCloud on your iPhone. You can also select or deselect which items are getting synced on iCloud.
