Applications that I have already downloaded and used are requiring credit info

Applications that I have already downloaded and used are now requiring credit card information stating that “ I won’t be charged” I personally do not give out, store for consideration nor enter via device credit info unless I am making a purchase. Am I required to list such info where it can be used without my authorization, ( as this has occurred before)
