I have an iPad here that my mom received through her nursing program. She forgot the Apple ID/password used to login. I’ve tried calling the school for proof of purchase for a full reset but they refused due to the fact that my mom has not completely finished the course. Is there anyway I can have this iPad reset with a new Apple ID?

Only the school can do that if the school originally purchased the iPad. If the school is the original owner, have them contact Apple. Apple can remove the ID if provided the required paperwork to include the original purchase receipt with the serial number on it.

You need the original ID.
See if she can recover the ID/password. An iCloud e-mail address is an Apple ID. Use every email address she can think of.

She can check to see if she is signed in to the App Store, FaceTime, or Messages on her iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, or check to see if she is signed in to iTunes for Windows on a PC. She can also go to iCloud.com or appleid.apple.com and see if her Apple ID prefills on the sign-in screen.

I failed to mention that the person who’s Apple ID is linked to the iPad is no longer with us. Is there a way to get it erased from the device?
