Ipad Air (3rd Gen) not 'sleeping'

Few months ago I noticed battery was running down quite quickly. Soon realised this was because screen was not turning off after a few minutes.

Checked settings and auto-lock is 2 minutes. There doesn't seem to be any other setting for screen off/dim etc.

Decided to restore the ipad, which seemed to fix it....for a few months. Now it's back to it's old ways.

I'm thinking that there is a rogue app, sucking too much power or not powering down. But don't know which one.

Any solutions out there?

The problem is that the screen takes forever to dim and sleep. The battery life is pretty good, but if the screen stays on, then the battery life will be impacted.
