Can I recover contacts from a smashed phone? The screen doesn't work and the cloud wasn't backed up
I have my dad's smashed phone here and of course his phone was not backed up on the cloud. Can I recover his contacts and photos?

Sorry no, unless your father synced his contacts/photos using iCloud in Settings>[his name]>iCloud>Contacts and Photos.
Should be this case, use this procedure:--> Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud - Apple Support.
Shouldn't be this case, the verdict is: No backup = No recovery, sorry.
