What problems are created for other applications by upgrading Word to 64 bit software and how might these issues be avoided?

Let's not overlook SoftMaker's Office 2021 suite which has familiar Word and Excel UI design, and opens these documents in their native formats.

All Support for anything 32 Bit ceased in Catalina and would have to upGrade applications, drives and extension to 64 Bit
All Microsoft applications on macOS Catalina and later must be currently supported 64-bit applications, and require a correspondingly current Microsoft license. Documents created by Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint with older Microsoft Office versions are unaffected by the 64-bit application requirement that does not apply to data.
What problems are you anticipating? I know of none.
You should encounter no problems. There is, however, a cost to upgrade Word. But the new version has enhanced features.
