Login item won't start

Hi I just got a new machine (studio) - set it up identically to my old one. But one of my login items won't start up when the machine boot / I login.


It's added to the login items list of course. And it used to start up on the old machine running the identical OS (Monterey 12.4). And yes, I can start the app manually after the machine boots just fine.

I've tried reinstalling the app, removing/re-adding the item to the login items list.


Any idea why this app won't start on login on THIS machine?

This is unfortunately a common issue for any version of MacOS or any Mac device. For example, Spotify likes to start on my iMac despite not being one of the programs added to the startup or log in disk items. However, I found this happens because in the Spotify app settings, there is an option for the app to initiate on its own. So perhaps your apps won't start due to that same reason, there are apps that have an internal option to start but are disabled by default on your new machine.
