Why won't my phone turn back on even after updating it on by my computer?

My phones screen is stuck on the apple logo, no matter how many times I try to reboot it, it won't turn back on. I've tried updating it on my computer and yes, the update went through, but it still won't turn on. It only responds to the hard reboots but comes back to the apple logo. Help please?
