Hi,
Canon MX492 is a model with support for the driverless AirPrint technology.
About AirPrint - Apple Support
An AirPrint model is compatible with macOS, and can be used without having to install additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router).
Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)
Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
See also the following guide from Canon Europe (for similar models, such as the MX495):

In case of difficulties with AirPrint, and if the setup is OK, you could try the following procedure (in the exact order):
Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac computer, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac computer. Finally, power on all other devices/computers

Printers need to have a printer driver installed which is compatible with the computer's installed operating system. There should be one on the Cannon web site that you can download. If you have done that, then please describe your problem more specifically so that we have some information to respond to.
