Screen saver assistance
iMac 27" - macOS Monterrey 12.4.
My screen saver just stopped working - works only in preview. Need some guidance as how to fix this issue.

Have you restarted recently? If not, do so and retest.
If that does nothing, start in Safe mode, let it sit for a few minutes then restart normally.
