Shure MV88+, USB-C, and iPad Pro 11" 3rd Gen (2021)

I bought a Shure MV88+ to serve as a directional microphone for my iPad Pro (3rd Gen). This microphone uses an USB-C connection.

I'm posting a new question specifically for the MV88+, which is a different unit.

Has anyone had any success in making these units work together? Will Shure or Apple come to an agreement and work out the snags behind the scenes, so that we consumers can have a snag-less enjoyable experience?
