On my Apple Watch Series 7, on the Workout display the time of day is not shown in the upper right corner of the face.
On my wife's Watch (also Series 7) the time is shown.
I can't find a setting to control this. Does anyone know where I can turn the time of day back on here?

I powered the watch off and back on (not a forced reset) and, as you predicted, that did bring the time back. Weird.
