First, try restarting your device.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn’t work, you should take a look at these articles:

If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

If an alert says Face ID has been disabled on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

And finally, if nothing above works I would recommend contacting Apple support.
