MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) | External monitor connection

Hi there,

I am using MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) .I am trying to connect latest Dell P2222H External monitor which supports 1920x1080. I see the same dimension in the "About mac" -> Displays -> Dell P2222H

In the display options I get the following options :

1600 x 900

1080p

1080i

720p

Tried with alt option which listed out more options but non of them are clearer.

When i connect my windows laptop to the same monitor by hdmi to hdmi I can see the correct supported dimension 1920x1080. which looks very clearer.

On the mac connection, i have tried these 2 options :

  • hdmi from laptop to hdmi in monitor.
  • Mini Display Port to Hdmi convertor and then again used hdmi to hdmi in monitor.

I am not finding solution to this. could any one of you suggest me how to i get 1920x1080 dimension when i connect to external monitor.

Thanks in advance.
