iPhone unavailable & won’t restore

I broke my iPhone & had the screen repaired but it now says iPhone unavailable & iTunes can’t restore it. However when on the iPhone still plays the alarm I set and I can see my screen saver. I desperately need my photos & didn’t backup before breaking iPhone. Please help me, how can I just get the photos off the iPhone?

No. It must be wiped then restored from your last backup

You can sometimes remedy this without a computer if on iOS 15.2 or later by tapping on "erase iPhone" , but you will still need the Apple ID password. It will WIPE the phone, no choice!
