I received a notice that someone tried to reset my Apple ID password. It was not me. Am I able to see where the request came from?
I too got this notice overnight. Basically it’s a popup from the phone (not a text) asking to allow access on “iPhone”. I woke up to that notification, a text with a reset code, and an email from apple (verified) with a reset code.
someone was attempting to start the account recovery process.
it seems to be a growing problem. There’s a recent Reddit thread and a friend had the exact same thing happen to her a few days ago.

Be VERY wary.
It’s most likely a scam (phishing attempt).
Do NOT click on any links or provide any info.
DO login to https://appleid.apple.com/ and review all of your devices, trusted numbers, and recovery contacts.
DO enable 2FA if you’ve not done so already.
You can't see who might have tried to change your AppleID password.
