Someone is using my email address for their Apple ID

I am getting email Verification emails for my email address. This email address is not used as an Apple ID by me but IS used as the rescue email for my main Apple ID. So I dont want any confusion by someone else using it.

I cant log in because I dont have the Password.

If I try and change the password a telephone number i dont know (obviously!) is shown as the first step to verify its my account.

How do I get them to change their email address, removed or take control of my email address ?

First of all. this can only have happened if someone hacked your mailadress

Furthermore, see this link and follow the instructions provided

Im dont think that they have hacked my email address as i am getting the verify your email address emails: ...

"You recently selected xxxx@xxx.com as your new Apple ID. To verify this email address belongs to you, enter the code below on the email verification page:"

and then the verification code they need to continue ...

It seems that they cant continue with the verification and I cant access access it becasue it has their telephone number only at this point !?! ... its kida in limbo
