Cleaning a watch band

Hello!

I've recently purchased the 2022 Apple watch pride band, and have worn it for a while now.

However the colors appear to fade a little bit because of usage, and I wanted to clean it but wasn't sure if there's any proper way to do it, obvious answer would be the washing machine but I'm afraid that it might deteriorate faster?

Is there some proper way to do it or can I just chuck it in.
