Fonts turned to exec files

Hello!

So, since updating the system on my Macbook a bunch of my fonts have changed to exec files. This is a nightmare. These are fonts that I've purchased from the foundry for client projects, and suddenly they don't work.

Can someone please tell me what in the world is going on and how to fix?

New Macbook Pro will not install newly purchased fonts I recently upgraded my computer from a MacBook Air to a Macbook Pro. I had no issues with installing fonts on my Air but for some reason I cant get them to install on my Pro. I have tried dragging and dropping the entire font folder into my Font Book, I have tried dragging one font at a time, but nothing is working. I get a message saying "No Installable Fonts Selected" "None of the files selected contain fonts which can be installed on macOS. Check your selection and try again". Has anyone encountered this before, if so how do I fix it. I can't run my business without being able to install fonts when I need them.

Font installation not working The normal instructions for downloading new fonts to my mac do not work. I repeatedly get the error message "Could not install font. This may occur because of efforts to install fonts in files containing no valid fonts. Check your selection and try again." ARGH. WHYYYYY.

I have no fonts accessible on my 12.1 Pages! I just got a refurbished Mac Airbook and transferred everything. A new version, 12.1 Pages, came up, and there is no place I can find fonts (I use chalkboard all the time). Where are they?

Did they have file extensions? If not, they won't be recognized anymore. Add the appropriate file extension to the file names.
