The Air is for people whom just surf the Internet and gets email and occasional web video with a friend! A Mac Pro is for someone whom makes money with their Mac and runs programs hours from artists and videos makers and music makers! That's the difference!

The Mac mini was made from swatters to get their feet wet in Mac world. The Mac Studio was made for real professionals in a real studio that would be art or video!

Depends on the particular models in question. However, the MacBook Air has always been extremely thin and had more limited ports available than the MacBook Pros of the same era. It's usually been of somewhat lower performance. The original MBA used a different Intel Core 2 processor than the corresponding MacBook Pro. It was geared towards better battery life at the expense of some performance.
