Should I turn off my iCloud Keychain if my iPad that is connected to it was stolen?
If your iPad was protected by a truly secure passcode (i.e. known only to you and not easily guessed) … there is no compelling technical need to do so … your device is VERY SECURELY protected.
You SHOULD go thru the steps outlined here EXCEPT Step 7.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support
Skipping Step 7 and keeping the iPad on your account FOREVER will prevent it’s reuse.
If your iPad was protected by a truly secure passcode (i.e. known only to you and not easily guessed) … there is no compelling technical need to do so … your device is VERY SECURELY protected.
