Gmail stopped downloading messages

My Gmail stopped downloading messages on iPhone and kept asking me for PW. I went into settings to put in my PW and this page showed up. I don't understand. Is this giving iOS to spy on me and do things I don't want done such as delete emails that I don't want. I am not tech savvy. Appreciate your help.
