Why is there a blue box that appears on my macbookair that suddonly disables my spacebar? I can not seem to make it go away it interupts my work on a daily basis. How do I make it go away once and for all?

At random, a blue box appears, and it disables my spacebar. It also often will not go away unless I close the window altogether and causes me to lose my work. It happens frequently and almost every day. Please, can someone help me disable this thing once and for all?

Thanks,

Matteo

Try to disable full keyboard access using the steps here, Navigate your Mac using Full Keyboard Access - Apple Support (LB).

I hope this helps bc it did for me.

Well. if it were me I'd enter a known zip code and see where it takes me. But then, I'm prepared with multiple backups and Flash drives to reinstall the OS if the worst happens.

Maybe it's malware. Have you run MalwareBytes or DetectX Swift?

Maybe some add-on or extension you installed lately.

Whatever the source, it's some sort of search and that usually is prompted by you visiting a website.
