When trying to update AppleWatch, I am getting a notification saying that I am not connected to the internet when I am on my phone. My Apple Watch is already reset to its factory settings so I cannot open it to connect to wifi.

I have my daughters old apple watch. It tries to pair with my phone but says it needs an update but can’t since not connected to wifi. I can’t connect to wifi until it pairs, so what can I do? The older Apple watch was reset. It now tries to pair with my iPhone but says it needs an update first. I tried to update but I get message saying it’s not connected to the internet. However, there is no way to connect it to the internet until I can pair it. Is there a work around to updating the watch before it is paired? Thanks in advanced!

Unable to update my apple watch I have tried several times to update my Apple Watch Series 3. Each time I try I get an unable to verify due to not being connected to Wi-Fi. This is despite being connected to my home Wi-Fi. I have tried everything, including resetting my watch, unpairing it ect
