My new iPhone SE 3rd gen will not enable Wi-Fi Calling. My wife's SE 2nd gen works fine on the same account, 2nd line, with Republic Wireless, the originator of Wi-Fi Calling.

My new iPhone SE 3rd gen will not enable Wi-Fi Calling. My wife's SE 2nd gen works fine on the same 5G account, 2nd line, with Republic Wireless, the originator of Wi-Fi Calling. Also Galaxy A13 5G on Sprint enables Wi-Fi calling in same environment--no problem.

Been through all the steps: software update to iOS 15.5, different SIM chip, reset network, reset to factory settings, tried ATT standard Wi-Fi in Arris Gateway as alternative to Netgear Nighthawk Wi-Fi 6 system.

Republic doesn't have a clue.

WiFi calling problems have been around for years on this site, I see. Somebody must have the answer!

Hey there, averla.

Is the option greyed out or does it just not work once you turn it on? If you can't enable it at all, you'll want to work with your carrier again as that feature is something that they need to enable on your account for each line for it to work on your device.

You may be able to Get Support directly from Apple for more specific information, but likely the issue resides in your wireless account or with the carrier specifically.

Republic Wireless is not a supported carrier.

If they can’t make it work for you, switch to a supported carrier.

Thanks Bryon, that's what I've been trying to do, but they're not making any progress.

Not finding Republic listed in the recent Apple list was interesting, in view of my wife's iPhone SE 2nd gen is working fine.

They must fix it or replace the SE 3rd gen, now that factory reset failed to cure it.

The list of supported carriers is a couple of months old, perhaps it's not up to date.

You're right, switching carriers is my ultimate option.

Since I purchased this iPhone from Republic and this feature never worked, I don't want to switch before getting either a refund or a new phone from Republic.

I've been with Republic since their early Broadcom days, because they supported WI-Fi calling on Android GSM phones from the beginning, and I didn't--and don't--have good cell coverage throughout my house due to topography. They were a Sprint reseller with low rates because 55% of their users' calls went over Wi-Fi. Now they've gotten connected to Dish, and added iPhones. Clearly they are having problems with their transition.
